Hey, I’m

Dr. Melanie Gray

Burnout Recovery Coach

Dr. Melanie,

Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Dr. Melanie Gray, a trauma-informed wellness and emotional safety strategist, nurse educator, and leadership coach. If you’ve found your way to this site, there’s a good chance you’ve been carrying a lot: the weight of responsibility, the pressure to perform, and the quiet cost of pushing through stress for far too long.

My work centers on a simple truth: burnout is not a personal failure—it’s often a predictable response to chronic overload, nervous system dysregulation, and workplace cultures that don’t adequately support human needs. Here, you’ll find practical, evidence-informed tools to help you feel better in real time—calmer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more grounded in your decisions. Whether you’re a leader trying to reduce reactivity and increase stability, or a professional trying to reclaim your health and capacity, you’re in the right place.

On this site, you can explore the Code Calm podcast, read resources designed to support burnout recovery and emotional regulation, and learn how trauma-informed approaches can strengthen engagement, retention, and psychological safety. My hope is that you leave each page feeling encouraged—and equipped—with small steps that create meaningful change.

Take what you need, move at your pace, and know you don’t have to do this alone.
